ANEMOGIANNIS

Site-specific perfomance at the old Venetian port of the Greek town of Nafpaktos (Lepanto).

A meditative dance for the glory of lost heroes, immobile statues and fiery dreams that transform into gold.

Anemogiannis (John Of The Wind) is a local hero of Nafpaktos, a small town in Greece, who was imprisoned and killed when he tried to set a Turkish ship on fire, during the Greek War of Independence of 1821.
